"This event is a result of the power of unity and the collective desire to see our athletes succeed. It is a reminder that when we come together as a community, we can achieve remarkable things."
Foloko extended his appreciation to all the sponsors, particularly the silver sponsor, Discover Insurance Limited, and bronze sponsors Atlas Mara (now Access Bank) and GenRa Pharmaceuticals Limited. He also acknowledged the Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank (ZICB) for their generous contribution of dressing all the caddies during the tournament.
"We would like to encourage you all to recognize your contributions in your annual reports and to follow the story of our athletes as your own. The more we tell the glowing story of our talent, the more our national pride is fueled in all sectors of our nation," he said.
After the successful hosting of this golf tournament, the NOCZ is considering partnering with Lusaka Golf Club to make the fundraising event an annual occurrence. This collaboration aims to continue supporting Zambian athletes and fostering a sense of unity and national pride through the power of sports.
