TEAM ZAMBIA FOR B2022 COMMONWEALTH GAMES ANNOUNCED

The National Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Association of Zambia (NOC/CGA Zambia) through the Games Management Team for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have announced the Athletes and Officials who will make up Team Zambia at the Commonwealth Games to be held in Birmingham, England.


Making the announcement during the Meet Team Zambia Fundraising Dinner held on Friday evening in Lusaka, Team Zambia Chef De Mission Victor Banda named a strong team of 41 athletes from nine sports codes namely Athletes, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Judo, Rugby Sevens, Para-powerlifting, Squash, and Swimming.

Rhoda Njobvu -100m and 200m SPRINTS

Niddy Mingilishi - 400m

Muzala Samukonga - 400m / 4x400m Relay

Kennedy Luchembe - 400m / 4x400m

Patrick Nyambe - 400m / 4x400m Relay

The athletes and officials that are currently in the country reported for the local residential camp on Friday 1st July 2022 which will run up until the 14th of July 2022.


The team will depart Durham for the international pre-games camp at the University of Durham on the 15th of July and will only be back home on the 11th of August 2022 after the close of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
